  1. Before You Join Us you’ll need to acquire a basic kayak skills certification from Canoeing Ireland or BCU (British Canoe Union). Respectively, these are called Level 2 Kayak Skills (Canoeing Ireland) and 2* Kayak (BCU) qualifications. They are short but very useful ’step one' courses and are specially designed to introduce beginners to basic skills and safety codes for kayaking. (Any recognised equivalent or higher certification, once verified by a club leader, will suffice also). Below is a list of some of the professional providers who conduct the above courses. Once you’ve received your Level 2 Kayak Skills / 2* certification (or recognised equivalent), we’ll be delighted to have you on board.
  2. If you've any further queries about joining the club, please contact our Meets Officer, Michael Carroll on 085-1086814.
